 TOILET PAPER? OR TROUBLE?

THIS SEWER MAN THINKS TROUBLE

What one should look for in a toilet paper at least from your sewer’s point, is that when wet it breaks down. The way one tests this, take a big hand full put it in the toilet or a bucket or big bowl of water. Then stir very rapidly. Good paper should break up into small little pieces. If it does not, get rid of it! The sewer man’s choice isssssssss Soft & Gentle! But no matter what your choice you should test it every six months.

GARBAGE DISPOSAL

OR

GARBAGE CAN

What is a garbage disposal for? Beside keeping me employed, not a whole lot. If you feel you must have one, then you should be sure to do the following tips.

Remember water is your garbage disposal’s best friend! You should let your water run, on the average about 10 seconds even after you turn the disposal off. Also, only fill your disposal about 1/4 of the way full at a time.

There are things you should avoid putting in your garbage disposal. POTATO PEELINGS,  also peeling of any kind.  They stick to your hands as well as your pipes.  PASTA & RICE. It swells in water & becomes sticky. It will allow the water to flow through, but not any food. Eventually not even water can get through. Stay away from anything leafy or stringy.

Remember drains are mean’t for water. Anything else is a clog in the making. I don’t even have a garbage disposal.

SYMPTOM:

Tub Drains slow or is clogged.

Treatment:

Remove over flow cover. Get a wet rag and stuff it in over flow opening.  Seal it the best you can. Then plunge until line is open.

You can get a good plunger at True Value hardware. They are called a Samson.  They are about $7.50. If you bring this Newsletter with, they will give you 10% off your Samson plunger. That is where I buy mine.
